PURFERVOR | Q&A;

Hello everyone!

I'm coming to you today with a brand new clothing boutique that reached out to me, and I just fell in love with the clothes. I decided to do a interview style post to get to know them better and for you guys to get to know a new boutique! 

JLA: Tell us about the company history.

PURFERVOR: I've always had a passion for style and clothing. Since the age of 12, I subscribed to Harper's Bazaar and other fashion magazines and have always been connected to fashion in some way. I've particularly been inspired by emerging designers. There's something about their fresh perspective and unique approach. But, the real impetus for launching PURFERVOR (pronounced Pure Fervor) was born out of necessity. I worked in a creative industry in which we frequently met with major name brand clients. Our clients expected us to show up looking the part of cutting edge creatives which meant I was always looking for clothes that were on trend yet comfortable, stylish yet professional, tailored yet versatile. And, most importantly, affordable! So, I melded my fervor for style and fashion with my need to identify great, well made clothing at accessible prices and PURFERVOR was born.

JLA: What do you sell and what is your style?

PURFERVOR: Right now we're focused on women's apparel pieces. So, the basics like tops, pants, shorts, dresses, etc. Our style is sophisticated with a bit of whimsy because we don't think style should be so excruciatingly serious. We tend to select pieces from designers who love classic lines with a contemporary flair. For, instance, our favorite pant is this really well structured trouser by FRNCH. But, we like it in this beautiful shade of salmon because it's fresh and amps up the style. We tend to like contrasts.

JLA: Who is PURFERVOR's ideal customer?

PURFERVOR: The woman who seeks grown up style yet doesn't want to fuss with constant wardrobe changes. We know that women have very busy schedules and sometimes you're going from work to a meeting to dinner with your significant other and you need to look chic in each of those scenarios. You can't change clothes for each occasion and we understand that.

JLA: What is your 'go to' item in your closet?

PURFERVOR: A perfectly structured blazer like the white version by FRNCH. We're a little obsessed with them right now. Blazers make it really easy to add polish to just about any outfit. You can go out of the door in denim and a tank. But, when you put on the blazer, it takes the outfit way up.

JLA: What is your favorite Spring trend?

PURFERVOR: Oh, that would have to be floral prints and culottes. Both look challenging to wear. But, designers have done an incredible job making them look beautiful on and off of our bodies!

JLA: Why should my readers check out your site?

PURFERVOR: I think we're ideal for any woman who wants to get the most out of the pieces she buys. We want that, too! And, we're also conscious that it's not realistic to spend thousands on a single item. We think well made, quality, fashion forward clothing should be accessible and meet the needs of our demanding lives. That's really a filter we use when we're selecting designers and their pieces. Is this current but not trendy, is it well made, will it look great dressed up or down and not completely break the bank? If the answer is yes, it goes into our consideration set. We think these are things other women are looking for as well.
