OOTD: Cross Print with Combat Boots

Happy Tuesday!

I'm going to start doing OOTD's (which means outfit of the day) at least once a week. Now that we're getting into Fall, it's time to bundle up!

Top: Cross Print Top from Forever 21
Bottoms: Black Jeggings from American Eagle
Scarf: Grey Knit from GAP
Boots: Aztec Print Combat Boots from Charlotte Russe

Combat boots are a big trend that I decided to follow for this coming season. I decided to go with a black pair to keep the focus on my cross print top. Combining different prints is a huge trend as well that started earlier this year. I combined the Aztec print on the boots with the cross print top!

Let me know if you guys would like to see more OOTD's in the upcoming weeks! Hope you have a great day and talk to you in my next blog!

Also, I'm almost at 4,000 followers on Twitter. Yay! So follow me at www.twitter.com/jennaleeannllc if you haven't already. Thanks so much!

Fashion Hacks: Must Read!

Hey everyone,

I did some research and came up with a list of life hacks/fashion hacks that could be helpful to you all. Keep these tips below in mind the next time you get a stain, or the next time you go shopping.

1.) White Wine vs. Red Wine

The next time you spill some red wine on yourself, look quickly for some white wine! White wine does help get out the red wine stain, and if it doesn’t completely disappear, it definitely will after a wash!

2.) Salt vs. Oil

Getting oil out of your clothing is tricky. However, pouring salt on it will help absorb the oil and get the stain out. Just pour a small pile of salt on the stain, wait a couple minutes, and then rub the cloth together!

3.) Cloth vs. Deodorant

I get this question all of the time. When trying to get a deodorant stain out of your shirt, do NOT use water! Simply rub cloth against cloth and the stain will come right out.

4.) Hand Sanitizer vs. Ink

If your pen explodes and you accidentally get some ink on your clothes, no worries! Just rub some hand sanitizer on the stain and let it sink in. However, you will need to throw it through the wash to get it fully out.

5.) Newspaper vs. Shoe Odor

Nobody likes a smelly shoe. Stick newspaper into the shoe to help absorb moisture an odor. This helps especially after the gym!

Don’t have time to try pants on when shopping? Here are a few tricks to help you see if they fit without going through the process in a fitting room.

1.)    Stick your fist and elbow into the waistband of the pant and see if they hold up!

2.)    Put the waistband around your neck, if each end touch around your neck, they fit!

Do you have any hacks of your own? Share them below, or send them to me on Twitter @JennaLeeAnnLLC !  Thanks for reading guys! Stay tuned for my next blog to find out how to pack a suitcase the best way, because if you’re anything like me, you need all of the room you can get.
Here's a place for you to keep updated with NYC's Fashion Week 2013: http://www.mbfashionweek.com/ . As of now, it's looking like I will be covering next years Fashion Week as a press member! Cross your fingers!

How To: Organize Your Closet For Fall

Everybody knows about "Spring cleaning"; the transition from cold to warm weather. Shouldn't "Fall cleaning" be just as important? I think so. It's basically the same process, but in reverse. When it comes to cleaning, for me, my closet comes first.

When you’re removing pieces from your closet, always start with color. Fall colors involve many neutrals (browns, blacks, greys, etc.). Don't be afraid to leave in some color pieces from your Summer wardrobe because depending how you style it, it could work well!

Bright Red Ruffle Top       Mint Chiffon with Black
with Black Moto Jacket        Leather Riding Boots

Once you've sorted through colors, it's time to move onto your seasonal pieces. Of course this will depend on where you live, but I’m from New England so it starts to get cool in Autumn. Now it’s time to bring out the sweaters and moto jackets, and put away the spaghetti straps and tube tops. Leave any pieces that could work under a sweater or cardigan. Also, summer dresses unfortunately have to go. However, skater dresses can stay! A perfect outfit can include a skater dress with a cardigan over it paired with some cute combat boots.

Next we move onto the shoe rack. This the hardest part for me. There’s nothing I love more than throwing on a pair of flip flops and running out the door. But now it’s time for some Fall staple pieces such as riding boots, combat boots, nice sneakers, and flats galore!

If you’re anything like me, no matter how big your closet is, you never seem to have enough space. Here are some ways to save room:

1.) Boots

Build in a shoe rack for boots if they don't fit into a hanging shoe organizer. You can find them many places and they're inexpensive! Score!

2.)    Belts

Purchase a cute shoe box (This one is from A.C. Moore around $5). Organize your belts into these boxes and store them away in your closet. It helps the closet look less messy.

3.) Gloves, Etc.
This is the same idea as the belts. It will keep all of the loose items out of the way.

Not sure how to put away Spring/Summer clothes? Grab some bins and fold everything up to keep your closet looking organized!
What are your closet organization tips for Fall? If you follow any of these, be sure to send pictures! You can send me pictures on Twitter @JennaLeeAnnLLC with #fallorganization or to my Facebook page www.facebook.com/jennaleeannclothing. Or just leave it as a comment below.

Tips & Tricks to Get Organized!

Hello everyone!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am extremely organized. I always have been, and I'm sure I always will be. A lot of people ask me some tips on how I organize and I just figured I would write about it for everyone to see.

Number One: Get A Planner

The best way to get your life organized is to get a small planner. It's nice to have one you can fit in your purse and carry with you. Sometimes you may be invited somewhere and you don't know if you have anything going on that day, or even worse, you accept the invite forgetting that you have other plans. Getting a planner saved my butt a few times!

Number Two: Sort With Binders

I recently came across a new way of organizing and filing away all of my paperwork. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a bunch of binders. I got black ones for anything related to www.jennaleeann.com , and I got white ones for anything personal. I labeled each binder "Bills, Inventory, Receipts, etc...) I found it much easier to find what I'm looking for this way.

Number Three: Organize Your Closet

If you're a shopping addict like me, organizing your closet will play a very important role in getting organized. With Fall right around the corner, this is a perfect time to sort through your closet. Try things on that you haven't worn in a while, take out anything for summer and add anything for Fall/Winter! My closet tends to look a lot more neutral for this time of year.

I hope this helped some of you out there or motivated you to get more organized! Let me know if you would like me to blog about anything specific...E-mail suggestions to jennaleeannllc@yahoo.com . Thanks!
