New Year Resolutions | 2015

Happy New Years Eve!

I can't believe it is the last day of 2014. I just did my 2014 Recap if you want to check that out, click HERE.

Resolutions are a great thing. They help you focus on what to change about yourself, or what you want in life. The hard part about resolutions is keeping them, which is why I created a post last year on how to keep your resolutions which you can find HERE.

Anyway, here are my resolutions for 2015:

Eat Healthy, Get Fit - I know this is a cliche resolution but I have gotten so sick this past year, it's completely necessary. I am the pickiest eater, and I need to just keep eating things so I gain a liking for them. I also need to go to the gym more, which I was good about until the end of the year (school can be so stressful and time consuming!).

No Negativity Out Of My Mouth - With all of the losses I've been through lately, I've found myself becoming more of a negative person. But hey, at least I'm aware of it! I'm working on changing that and I'm hoping having a more healthy lifestyle and not being sick all of the time will help me be more positive as well!

Graduate College And Build A Career In Fashion - I've finally gotten approved for graduation in May (YAY), so after that, I really plan on building a career for myself in the fashion industry. My dream is to find something I love doing and making that my career (for example, blogging or making fashion videos)....not so sure yet what will come for me, but I know I've got enough motivation to try to make a career out of what I love

Of course I have goals as well such as moving out of state, and getting out of debt, but those aren't really lifestyle changes which is what resolutions are all about to me. Anyway, I hope everyone has a fun and safe night, and of course...a Happy New Year!

Also, if you haven't already, be sure to enter my Holiday Giveaway ! Awesome prizes and easy to enter!

Let me know your resolutions in the comments below or on Twitter | Facebook | Instagram because I may get some inspiration from yours!

OOTD: Business Casual | Maroon Blazer

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all excited for the New Year, I know I am! This year was a long year, check out my 2014 Recap ! Anyway, I never got to do a Black Friday haul because school took over my life this year, but I figured throughout time I would just post outfits using the clothes I bought! Here's my outfit today:

For this "Business Casual" look I wore a high neckline black sleeveless top from Banana Republic and paired it with a maroon blazer from Windsor to add a pop of color. For my jeans, I just wore dark skinny jeans from Saks Fifth Avenue (they are Seven For All Mankind jeans), and added my Vera Wang booties to top it all off! This outfit is so simple yet chic. And might I add...comfortable!

Hope you enjoyed, and I hope everyone has a safe and fun New Years Eve!

P.s. If you haven't seen my last post, I'm doing a giveaway with some great prizes! I mean, who doesn't love free money to shop at Nordstroms, right!? Check it out here: Giveaway

New Years Eve Outfit & Holiday Giveaway! ♡

Hey everyone!

Now that school is finally over (for now), I have free time again and am able to really do what I love...talk about fashion! I wanted to start my winter break off with a giveaway as a way to say thank you to everyone for being so patient with me! So let's get into the New Years Eve outfit and giveaway gifts.

I did a post a while ago about a new company called Time For Tights [click here to see my last post: How To: Style Sexy Tights ] , and a lot of people were asking me where I got them and what not. The company was nice enough to give me two items for the giveaway (see the picture below)! In the above picture, I styled a possible New Years Eve outfit using a dress from my last clothing line, which can now be found at www.poshmark.com/closet/jennaleeannllc ! I paired it with a pair of tights from the same company, a pair of patent leather Christian Siriano heels, and a gold smokey eye.

These nude tights are something that every woman should have in their closet. And these cute lacey white socks are ADORABLE! So different, which is very attractive and trendy.

Next up is Jamberry nails. I'll tell you, when I first got these sent to me, I didn't think they would top the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure set (which is my favorite nail polish), but these Jamberry  nails are perfect for girls like me who can't paint their nails well if their lives depended on it, haha. These have such an easy application process, and last so long! This gift will come with a sheet of nails, and a whole manicure kit to give you the perfect nails. Check out bnas.jamberrynails.net for more info!

And of course, you will need a new outfit to go with your tights and nails, which is why I'm throwing in a $50 gift card to the best store ever...Nordstrom!

This giveaway is international, and all you have to do to enter is follow the instructions below! Good luck and Happy Holidays!!

6 Things All Men Should Have in Their Closet! ♡

Hey everyone!

Guys, this is a post for you. Or maybe for the girls who are looking to buy gifts for guys for the holiday! Here are some staple pieces (guys who don't know fashion terms, a staple is a must have, not an office supply) that every man should have in their closet. So open up your Notes app on your phone and jot this down for your next shopping trip!

  1. Neutral Tees- My personal preference is a v-neck (not too deep...please!!). But, v-neck and scoop neck are must haves. Black, white, and grey tees should be hanging in your closet right now! Don't know where to buy good quality? Check out www.express.com .
  2. A Well-Fitted Tux- If you don't already have one, I'm disappointed! There are SO many occasions where you need a good suit/tuxedo. Spend the money to get one nice one, and get it tailored! For amazing good quality suits, check out www.hugoboss.com .
  3. Dark-Washed Jeans- If you read my post on 5 Things Men Should NOT Wear (which was a big hit!) you would know that light washed jeans are awful unless you are at work or doing some country things haha. Do not DARE take a lady on a date in light washed jeans! Find a good pair of dark washed jeans that are your go-to for a night out or even to wear anywhere! My favorite denim brand: http://www.7forallmankind.com .
  4. A Signature Scent- I suppose this goes for guys and gals. Pick a signature scent that will make people think of you when they smell it. I can tell you from personal experience, when I smell certain scents I can think of the guys who wear it. My favorite (though people may think it's overrated and a cliché) is Armani Code. However, if you don't like the smell of it, which would be crazy...try out the Hugo Boss colognes!
  5. Leather Loafers- This ties to the tuxedo concept, but every guy should have a good pair of leather loafers. Whether it's meeting the parents, or a wedding, or whatever it may be; you always will need a pair of leather loafers. Check out these: http://www.sperrytopsider.com/en/mens-shoes-loafers-slipons/
  6. Black Button Down- This is probably the sexiest thing (in my opinion, besides a grey knit cardigan) a guy can wear when I meet them. Something about a guy in a black button down and dark washed jeans smelling awesome, makes them seem so put together and on point. Express also has great button downs! www.express.com
I hope this helped guide you to a better closet, or helps you ladies with some gift ideas! Leave some other ideas of what you think men should wear in the comments below or on any of my social media! (Links are on the right side of my blog)

I'm going to be planning a holiday giveaway so keep an eye out for that, and I will be doing a Black Friday haul very soon! (Finals week, sorry for the lack of fashion!). P.s. Yay for my 2 year anniversary blogging on www.jennaleeann.com!
