I was wondering what to write about for my blog, when it hit me. No, literally, I got bumped by a girl walking by. Though she was very nice and apologized, I couldn't help but notice her outfit. I am a "people watcher", I always look at everyone's outfits because you never know who will inspire you. Now, there was nothing wrong with the style of the clothes she was wearing, however, there WAS something wrong with how she was wearing them. She had on a pair of floral shorts and a tank top. She definitely had a size too small, and the way I could tell was the muffin top.
To answer everyone's false thought of "weight" being the problem, it's not. Ladies who have curve, you need to show it off the RIGHT way.
Which picture looks more flattering to you? One important concept I always tell people is, just because it buttons or zips, doesn't mean it fits. Muffin top does not come from being overweight. It comes from people buying the wrong size pant. It's important to really find a size that really fits, and shows off your curves the right way. Don't buy clothes that are too tight. My favorite quote is:
"Your dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman and loose enough to show you're a lady."-Edith Head
Need help finding the right size? Try asking the sales associate, or continue trying on sizes until the length and width is just right. When you have no muffin top, you know you have the right size.
