How To Wear Dress Pants Outside of Work

April 4, 2018

Happy Hump Day!!

Express is having a buy one get one 50% off pants sale, and I had to get in on that. As some of you know, I switched careers and now require more of a business wardrobe rather than trendy. Well, who says I can’t have both looks in one outfit?

Stripes were seen all over the runway for Spring, which adds the ‘trendy’ piece to my outfit. These pants are great quality (though you know I still love my Sloan pants the most from Banana Republic  [CLICK HERE TO SEE THE SLOAN PANT] these are definitely up there. With the sale going on, it’s definitely time to stock up!!! These pants are more of a flare whereas the Sloan pants are more fitted and cut at the ankle, which is why I like them more. However, if you are looking for the classic pair of work pants, these are my top choice!

To make this more appropriate for work, I would simply just add a black blazer and I’m good to go! This is a classic way to go from desk to dinner.

When trying to wear your dress pants outside of work, you usually want to focus on the top. Your dress pants will already add a business vibe to your look, so being able to add a top that can tone that down will be key for a day off.

Here are some other posts I’ve done with some great work outfit ideas:

I would probably post it on YouTube and then embed it in the blog. What do you think? Do you prefer blog posts or YouTube videos? Let me know!!
