Easy-to-Follow Recipe | Chicken Lettuce Wraps

October 27, 2017

SURPRISE! I was going to save this post for next week, but I figured it was perfect timing for the weekend. Having any company over this weekend? This is such a great appetizer. The recipe below feeds 2, but feel free to double or triple it depending on how many people you need to feed!

I posted this on my social media last week and got a ton of messages for the recipe! So I figured I’d create this post for you all to look back on when you want to make this dish.

Thank you to my boyfriend for sitting patiently while I took pictures as I cooked this, haha. Blogger boyfriend problems? He and I both agree this is one of the best things I’ve ever made; you HAVE to try it.

Total cook time: 10-15 minutes

What you’ll need:

1 lb of Ground Chicken

1 Head of Butter Lettuce

1 Bunch of Green Onions

1/2 an Onion

1 Red Bell Pepper

1 Tbsp of Minced Garlic

4 oz of Water Chestnuts, sliced

1/4 cup of Hoisin Sauce

1 Tbsp of Rice Wine Vinegar

2 Tbsp of Sriracha

2 Tbsp of Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper

  1. Heat up olive oil in saucepan on medium heat. Add in ground chicken, and mash-up with spoon to break it all up. Let cook until most of the pink is gone. Stir constantly. lettuce6
  2. Add in Hoisin sauce, Rice wine vinegar, Sriracha, Soy sauce, Minced Garlic, and pinches of salt and pepper to your liking. Let cook for 2 minutes while stirring.
  3. Add in Onion, Green onions sliced, Water chestnuts, and Red bell pepper. Let cook for 4 minutes while stirring.lettuce5
  4. Prepare plate with butter lettuce. Be careful when peeling each piece off so there are no rips or holes. Then put the chicken mix from the pan into a bowl and TADA! It’s ready to serve.

Serve with a smaller spoon to scoop the mix into the lettuce, and then roll it up and enjoy!
